How to Wash a White Shirt

* According to Davis, Fort and Richa in the article “A Crisp White Shirt is a Fashion Classic” from Cleveland.com, “in general it is better to wash your white shirts than to have them dry-cleaned”
* Keep your shirt looking ultra-bright by using a specially formulated detergent for whites.
* Generally a machine wash at 40c is perfect for cotton, but make sure you check the manufacturers label for washing instructions. With the latest trend in detailing and embellishments, there may be specific requirements.
* Never mix whites with colored items. Keep them separate.
* Brighten up a dull looking shirt by using specially formulated fabric bleach such as Ecover’s Laundry Bleach. The same applies to white bras which look very sorry for themselves. Do not use normal bleach as it will yellow the shirt.
* A stain removing product (such as Vanish or Shout) is an essential tool when trying to remove dirt and grime from collars and cuffs, or make up which has accidentally rubbed onto the collar. Use a toothbrush to apply the stain remover but do not rub too hard so as not to damage the fabric.
* Should you suffer from excessive underarm staining from deodorants or perspiration marks then consider sewing in some garment guard patches, available from Amazon.
* Drying your shirt on a hanger will minimize creasing.
* Secure buttons for longer by making sure your unfastening the shirt before placing it in the washing machine.
How to Iron a White Shirt

Finally, as a white shirt needs to be worn crisp and wrinkle free, if you loath ironing then spend a little more and invest in a non-iron shirt instead. By giving it a little TLC, keeping your shirt in pristine condition will prevent it from becoming unintentionally off-white, and allow you to continue to wear this versatile piece of women’s clothing for years to come.

Lipstick and Lip Liner...style lipstick

Lipstick adds the final touch to any makeup application. Lining the lips creates subtle definition and perfects the shape of the lips.
Instructions

1)Consider your lipstick color and finish. You’ll do well with colors that match the natural shade of your lips, opting for darker tones that complement your overall coloring. Matte lipsticks offer a muted finish complementary to workday makeup, while satin and gloss finishes offer appealing evening looks.


2 ) Apply all other makeup before putting on lipstick and lip liner.

3 ) Begin by dabbing on a very small amount of lip balm or petroleum jelly to give your lips a little moisture.

4 )Draw a thin line along the edge of your lips with a lip liner whose color is one shade darker than your lipstick. Start at the center of the upper lip and work outward. Hug the very outer edges to open up thin lips, and line well within the edges to downplay excessively full lips.

5 ) Apply lipstick from the tube or by using a firm, small lipstick brush. Coat the lips evenly. Pay special attention to staying within the lips’ edges.

6 ) Blot to remove any excess color and to even out the texture.

7 )Remember to touch lips up after a meal, as lipstick easily transfers onto coffee cups, water bottles and soda cans.


Tips & Warnings
For longer-lasting lip color, shade both lips with lip liner after defining them. As lipstick fades throughout the day, the liner offers a hint of color before you have a chance to reapply.

Balance heavy eye makeup with a soft lip color. Wear a rich and boldly colored lipstick to complement soft eye makeup.

Give the illusion of a thicker top lip by lining its outermost edges and foregoing liner on the bottom lip.
Chill lip liner for easier sharpening.


Forego lipstick if you have a cold sore. Opt instead for a camphor-based lip balm to aid in healing.

China for the first time allowed domestic trading of the yuan against the Malaysian ringgit Thursday and said it would broaden the range of currencies permitted to trade onshore, as it steadily moves to turn the yuan into a major currency and boost its use in cross-border trade.



Beijing has been promoting the use of yuan to settle commercial trade transactions and expanding the scope of yuan business in Hong Kong in recent years to internationalize the Chinese currency. Earlier this week, it launched a trial program that allows overseas investors to put yuan held offshore into China's interbank bond market.



China's move to open up yuan/ringgit trading in the onshore interbank foreign exchange market came after Malaysia's central bank Wednesday removed some of the limitations on trading of ringgit by foreigners, imposed in the aftermath of the 1997 Asian financial crisis. The ringgit soared to a near 13-year high against the dollar Thursday, propelled by the news.


In a statement Wednesday, the China Foreign Exchange Trading Center, the central bank's domestic currency trading platform, said it would kick off yuan/ringgit trading Thursday to boost bilateral trade and facilitate the use of yuan for cross-border trade settlements.



"There are few deals today and to be honest, I don't think there will be huge demand for it since the ringgit is a restricted currency too," the trader said.

While the small size of the yuan/ringgit market makes Beijing's efforts more symbolic in nature at this stage, it marks a step forward for the authorities in broadening the use of the Chinese currency.




"It will be very positive for cross-border flows, as it will facilitate trade" between China and Malaysia, said Wai Ho Leong, an economist at Barclays Capital.

As part of China's push to internationalize the yuan by increasing its circulation overseas, China and Malaysia signed a currency-swap agreement in February 2009, which when fully set up will increase the availability of yuan in Malaysia and ringgit in China.

"You can treat today's move as a step toward yuan internationalization and I heard more Asian currencies are their way here too," said the European bank trader, referring to the possibility of Beijing allowing more regional currencies to be traded onshore.




CFETS said China will consider allowing more currencies to trade against the yuan onshore, depending on future developments in bilateral trade, financial cooperation and the convertibility of currencies.

It also said it may consider launching trade of yuan/ringgit forwards and foreign exchange swaps in the future depending on market demand.

"China is a bit like the Far West," Cerruti Chief Executive Florent Perrichon said. "You need to be able to adapt quickly and have good relations with local authorities as well as local partners."
French handbag maker Longchamp, for example, decided to buy out its Chinese distributor to gain control and now has a Chinese team to take care of administrative tasks.

Last year China became the top export destination for Australia, Brazil, Japan and South Africa and other countries are seen following that trend as China's appetite for imports continues to transform the world economy.

For La Prairie, the premium skin care brand of German consumer goods group Beiersdorf, China could outpace the U.S. in five years in terms of sales, Chief Executive Dirk Trappmann told the summit.
